I just bought both myself and my mother what is apparently the “Birkin bag of travel jewelry cases”. This is due to the fact that I was previewing the new site Joyus to a client on Friday and found myself needing said jewelry case which was the featured item of the day. I’m a sucker for a good infomercial. I’m warning you, if you click on that link and watch the video, you will buy the item.

I went on a mini jaunt to the west coast last week. I had some meetings in the bay area and then flew down to LA for a Havaianas event. I stayed at the most charming little boutique hotel in West Hollywood called the Chamberlain. They converted an apartment building into this haven tucked a few blocks off Santa Monica Blvd. The rooms are gigantic, the bed comfy and there’s a fantastic rooftop pool. Plus it was a lot more mellow, quiet and friendly than some of the other hotels in the area. And the best part, it’s totally affordable.
Spotted Tarte + True Blood collaboration at Sephora yesterday and was this close to buying. I might be able to justify the lip tint for my finale party.
I can’t get enough of Sharon Jones. I have been playing her on Spotify non-stop. Did I mention that I am also having a love affair with Spotify?!

Perusing Vogue this AM I read that The Viceroy has recently opened a resort in the Maldives. I have been salivating ever since I heard the news (have a look and share in my wonderment). I’m totally open to anyone that wants to whisk me away for a week.
