Saturday night I met up with Adriann & Christian at Little Next Door for some vino before dinner. It’s such a charming spot, right next to The Little Door, which I think is one of the most romantic restaurants in the world. Another celeb sighting, Melissa George and again, beautiful atmosphere. I love how every eatery in LA has a patio for outside dining.
After drinks I headed down to Abbot Kinney in Venice for dinner at Primitivo. Abbot Kinney is one of my favorite places to hang and frequently did given Deutsch was around the corner. There are so many great establishments in the area, delicious food, chill bars, funky shops and tons of art galleries. Sitting on the back patio at Primitivo we were seated next to some of the SNL gang on summer hiatus from filming in NYC. Apparently Will Forte went to high school with my friend’s hubby so we started chatting with him. Cort was showing him my pictures from the trip and we had no idea who the hell he was until after he left. I recognized Kristin Wiig, but didn’t make the connection with Will. Isn’t it funny when you meet celebrities out of context, you think they look familiar because they go to your gym, but then you realize that it’s actually because you see them on TV every week.
After dinner we had a beer at The Other Room, which is by far the best pub on the west side. Any place that serves Lindemans is okay in my book.
