We then walked over to Carnegie Hall for “An Evening with Diana Krall”. God, it was fantastic. I’m a huge Diana fan and she did not disappoint (well she didn’t play my fav “Cry me a River”, but all the other songs were fantastic). She was quirky charming, had a full orchestra backing her up and her sultry voice had major chemistry with the old school venue. I actually got a bit emotional at one point, hey I’m a softy, because she was so unbelievably good. I also thought it was touching how she kept talking about her marriage to Elvis Costello, she really seems smitten. And a couple times she just jammed jazz songs on the piano, you can tell she really loves music and performing for an audience. It was a fabulous night. I encourage anyone that isn’t familiar with her music to have a listen.
