I had one of the coolest experiences since I moved to NYC…I attended The Moth story slam last night. You volunteer to tell a 5 min story based on the night’s theme (Ambition was the theme last night). They pull 10 story tellers’ names out of a hat and each gets scored by a panel of judges from the audience. I was blown away by the quality of each of the participants stories, funny and inspiring and touching. If you go to the next one, be warned GET THERE EARLY. I was half an hour early to the doors opening and I barely made it in (I had to sit on the floor). Find out more info here (and subscribe to their podcast). Oh and fab job by the hilarious host Dan Kennedy (pictured above). He really kept the night moving along.
