My roommate and I went to a new bar/restaurant last night called Double Crown. We bellied up to the bar and met the adorable Irish bartender Donal. He just became an American citizen and was voting in his first election (for Obama of course). The drinks were so interesting, they have a glass of crushed ice, mix vodka and soda in a shaker and then top it off with a spoon full of homemade jam (Donal makes them himself). It was delish. I had the pear…it was like a slushy for adults. Yum.
