Crazy Loves Company

I am a 30something single gal living in NYC. This site is a curation of things I love (marketing, travel, shopping, pop culture and photography) with a bit of my life sprinkled in the mix. I hope you find something that piques your interest.

Feel free to drop me a line at stacykfuller@gmail.com.

I found a little slice of heaven tonight in Hell’s Kitchen. I met Michaela and her friend Mike tonight for dinner. I had the bright idea of commuting to Kyotofu for dessert, the Japanese institution that opened up about 3 years ago. I swore the heat must have died off for Asian delectibules and the line would be non exsistent. So wrong I was. Not wanting to wait an hour Mike suggested moving a few doors down to Gazala Place, “an authentic Druze Food establishment”. Yeah, I had no idea what that meant either. However, he swore that last year a friend took him by for the house speciality, a dessert the owner prepares in absolute secrecy called osh al saraia. She banishes the kitchen staff when she prepares, in the off case they rob her of the recipe. Now I’m a girl that is all down for intrigue, but I had my reservations. The spot was ultra tiny, the bathroom is a closet through the kitchen (which I actually find sorta charming). But boy did that dish knock our socks off! We had to order two, which is saying a lot for a gal that only considers chocolate a true dessert (pie is a fruit). Paired with turkish coffee ladeled out of a kettle or, if you’re like me, and no caffeine after noon then mint tea, this dessert is the perfect way to end an evening. And if you don’t believe me, then listen to the Times ;)
