Apparently the famous Tavern On The Green in Central Park is going to become a snack shack and tourist eye sore?! That’s just absurd. Do people, and by people I am assuming that businessmen and politicians are human, have no respect for history anymore?!
In this article, Donald Trump says that he is willing to play savior if they choose to reach out to him. You know, I was against his latest hotel towering over my beloved Soho, but it’s actually really nice and unpretentious inside. If he took over the TOTG project, he would be doing NYC a favor.
This makes me sad. I came to NYC for the first time when I was 7 and remember eating at Tavern on the Green, it felt like eating inside a wedding cake. Over the years I’ve been with visiting family and friends and there really is something magical about the place. For once I’m hoping Donald gets his way!
