Cracking up over this NY Daily News Gossip Item
Josh Hartnett probably won’t be returning to the Memory Bar & Motel in Montauk anytime soon. On Sunday night, sources tell us the 32-year-old actor paid a visit to the local hangout made famous by the 1976 Rolling Stones song — but never made it past the front door. When a high-spirited Hartnett jumped the lengthy line to get into the venue, a security guard blocked him from entering. “Don’t you know who I am?” a source tells us Hartnett balked. To which the bouncer responded that “Everyone is someone in the Hamptons.” Hartnett’s status wasn’t helped when a bystander ID’d him. This moved the guard to add that the actor had made “a bunch of sh—y movies.” Not surprisingly, Hartnett slunk away soon after that. His spokeswoman confirmed the actor was in Montauk this past weekend, but insisted “he did not visit” the Memory. Witnesses tell us otherwise.
